Review: I’ve lost count to all of Harlequin books I’ve read so far, so this one ended up not being much of a surprise to me. It is a light romance, about a story that takes place in a luxurious house, with many funny and hurtful moments.

Although I expected anything, what surprised me was finding a strong female protagonist, with strong ideas, as a woman who was not enchanted by the male character, right from the beginning. Their relationship began in a troubled way and so it continued almost until the end of the book, and it was good to see that the author didn’t made the mistake of creating a weak and willingly female character, but someone able to fight for what she believed and strong enough to avoid becoming overwhelmed by the man she loved.

I honestly liked Connor, he’s a man who, despite thinking he could have a relationship without love, suddenly found himself doing and saying the exact things he had never done/said before.

Of course I have to mention the moment when Megan Caro, Connor’s former fiancée, appeared at the party—it definitely was the turning point in the story that almost made me jump off my chair to tighten that woman’s neck.

As for the story, which holds the reader from beginning to end, it maintained the standards that Harlequin has shown so far. It would be great if this book would be published by Portuguese Harlequin.
